John Kirlin

John has been an avid outdoorsman and shooter for almost 50 years and a life member of the NRA for 35 years.

He carries a wealth of experience hunting locally and internationally, with both shotgun and rifle. He’s a keen enjoyer of skeet, sporting clays and five-stand – winning several competitions to his name. To boot, he’s been shooting handguns for more than 40 years.

John has been teaching rifle, shotgun, and handgun shooting for practically as long as he has been shooting. That makes him a patient teacher, able to step through concepts and demonstrate techniques in a way that’s easy to understand. A manner which makes it simple for students to absorb and apply into practice. His quick spotting of errors and constructive approach means fewer training scars and quick improvement for students.

John is licensed for concealed carry in Virginia and Maryland, and carries the majority of the time he’s out of the house. Between his concealed and open carry experience he is an excellent consultant for firearm as well as holster selection. Whether that’s for home defense, range, plinking, or concealed carry handguns.
